Install HotPlayer · on your MacBook / iMac
Follow the steps

Locate Hot Player in the Mac App Store
Open the App Store on the Mac, search Hot Player and open its entry. The download costs nothing and includes a trial; the playlist licence is bought in-app and covers your iPhone, iPad and Apple TV as well.

Install, then open Hot Player
Choose Get, wait for it to complete, then launch the app from Launchpad or Applications.

HotPlayer requests a playlist
On first launch HotPlayer reports no playlist and displays a device ID alongside hotplayer.app/upload. Leave the screen where it is.

Register the playlist at hotplayer.app/upload
From a browser, open hotplayer.app/upload. Set the source to Xtream Codes, supply the server URL, username and password from your activation email, and save.
Safari on the same Mac handles this fine — the upload page is a website, not part of the app.

Return to the app and select Refresh
Back in Hot Player, choose Refresh. The saved playlist is picked up straight away.

Playback time
The channel list, films and series load in. Select a channel to begin playback.
Installing HotPlayer on MacBook / iMac: what is different
On a Mac, HotPlayer runs as a desktop application — download it from the Mac App Store or the developer's site, then drag it to Applications.
macOS blocks a first launch from an unidentified developer. Right-click the app and choose Open to approve it once, rather than changing your security settings.
Apple Silicon and Intel Macs sometimes need different builds. Check which one you have under › About This Mac before downloading HotPlayer.
